The alarm goes off early this morning and my first thought is...'What are you doing...?' I didn't feel like getting out of bed, and had I listened to my thoughts, I probably would have stayed there. But then I tell myself how blessed I am to be able to choose to get out of bed early, to go to the gym and work on my physical fitness and health, to start my day this way. Gratitude for the place I live in, the peace around me while people in other countries are being shot at and bombed, losing everything. We are so blessed in this part of the world and it should not be taken for granted. Gratitude, being thankful for what I have, makes all the difference. Life is so precious and time is a commodity I cannot afford to waste, so I just get to it. I try and focus on what is important, and the priority is my health and well-being. Exercise makes me feel so much better and helps unclutter the mind. It releases a myriad of feel-good stimulants throughout the body and heals many ailments as well. If someone can make themselves turn up regularly while in a moon-boot to work out, then I definitely don't have an excuse for staying in bed. Don't make excuses ... make results! Have an awesome day.
Cheers,
Andrew McLennan
